PORT SHELDON TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, June 4, 2023) – The search has apparently ended happily for a missing 20-year-old Holland man.
According to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Jon Smoes, Terry Sims hadn’t been seen since walking away from the back yard of an adult foster care home in the area of 164th Avenue and New Holland Street around 7:45 PM on Saturday night. An update from Sheriff’s Sergeant Matthew Wildfong on Sunday morning indicated that Mr. Sims has yet to be located, but a man fitting that description was spotted on Grand Haven’s south pier around 9:30 AM on Sunday.
Shortly after 4 PM, Wildfong reported that, “Terry Sims has been located, and is safe. He is being returned to his home. Thank you to the media, and the citizens who helped find him.” Wildfong gave no further information as to where Mr. Sims was spotted, what led to his disappearance, and whether he had suffered any ailment during his 20-hour absence.
