Douglas A. Alverson, age 66 of Holland, passed away Sunday, September 20, 2020 at home surrounded by family.

Doug was born in Holland February 4, 1954 to Marvin and Jean (Timmer) Alverson. He was a graduate of West Ottawa High School and a member of Resurrection Life Church in Grand Rapids. He was the Owner/Operator of Lakeshore Car Care detailing service, and an avid Lions fan. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Doug was preceded in death by his father Marvin Alverson, and a sister Sherry Jones.

He is survived by his wife Lori Alverson; children, Katie Alverson, Tiffanie (Aaron) Boeve, Matt (Elaine) Alverson, Whitney (Steve) Andrews, Alisha (Mark) Walters, Angela (Ryan) Day; his mother Jean Alverson; 12 grandchildren; sisters Laurie (Bradley) Kuipers and Jennifer Ridgeway; brother-in-law James (Deb) Overheul; many extended family and friends.

A celebration of life observing current Covid-19 restrictions for Doug will be 11:00am, Thursday, September 24, 2020 at Beechwood Church, 895 Ottawa Beach Road, Holland.

Visitation will be from 10:00am until the time of the service Thursday at Beechwood Church.
