HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, May 15, 2023) – The 94th Tulip Time Festival is now in the history books.
Although final attendance figures for ticketed events and estimates for free activities won’t be disclosed until later this summer, festival organizers were “pleasantly fatigued” when Holland’s nine-day annual signature event concluded on Sunday. There were banner crowds throughout the festival to look at the tulip blossoms at various locations and take in the wide range of attractions.
Holland Mayor Nathan Bocks admitted that the festival was “spectacularly blessed” this year.
The annual Tulip Dig, set for this Saturday from 9 AM to 11 AM, will be at Window on the Waterfront Park and at Centennial Park, with a determination made later this week as to whether the bulbs will be ready for digging at Windmill Island Gardens. The $10 per bucket cash proceeds at the gate go to the Holland in Bloom urban beautification effort.
By the way, the 95th Tulip Time Festival is tentatively set to begin on May 4, 2024.
