Kenneth Hoekstra age 57, of Zeeland, passed onto his heavenly home on Sunday, May 7, 2023.
Ken was a member of Niekerk Christian Reformed Church and owned and operated Hoekstra Plumbing and Mechanical.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Sue; children and grandchildren, Ashley and Austin Morren (Evelyn), Devan and Emily Hoekstra (Reid), Makenna Hoekstra and Matt Meekhof, Chase Hoekstra; brothers, Garry and Becky Hoekstra, Bob and Diane Hoekstra; parents-in-law, Harv and Elaine Plaggemars; in-laws, Deb Plaggemars, Julie Plaggemars, Scott and Shelly Plaggemars; several nieces and nephews.
Ken was a loving father and husband who showed his love through hugs, laughs, and a contagious smile. He had a passion for people, those he just met and those he knew forever. We are thankful for his steadfast faith and his peace and love for all.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 11, 2023, at Niekerk Christian Reformed Church, 545 Country Club Rd. Holland with Revs. Chad Steenwyk and Darren Kornelis officiating. Burial will be in West Drenthe Cemetery. Visitation will 1:30 -3:30 and 5:00 -7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 10, at Yntema Funeral Home, 251 S. State St. Zeeland. Memorial contributions may be given to Niekerk CRC Family Mission Trip Fund and Hospice of Holland.
