Richard “Dick” Darby age 82, of Holland, died Friday, May 5, 2023.
Dick was an active member of Central Wesleyan Church for many years. He was also active in the Holland Community and owned Darby Enterprises.
Dick was preceded in death by his grandson, Jonathan Elenbaas, and siblings, Marilyn Evans and Warren Darby.
Dick is survived by his wife of 60 years, Marge; children. Chris (Alan) Rutledge, Rachel (Steve) Elenbaas, Matt (Sarah) Darby; grandchildren, Emily Rutledge, Erin (Eric) Aardema , Alex (Dani) Elenbaas, Anna (Josh) Van Dyke, Jenna Darby, Claire Darby, Elliot Darby; great-grandchildren, Ellison Aardema, Remi, and Dillyn Elenbaas; brother, Daryl Darby; in-laws, Hilman Evans, Evelyn Sugar, Norma Craig, Mary (John) Castro, Chuck Morse, Dick (Sue) Morse; several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at Central Wesleyan Church, 446 West 40th Street Holland with Rev. Lynn Bruce officiating (Please use entrances A&I). Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, May 9, at Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 E. 16th St. Holland.
