HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, May 6, 2023) – A 27-year-old West Olive man lost his life in a single-vehicle crash north of Holland before dawn on Saturday.
According to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Ryan DeVries, deputies and other first responders were dispatched to US-31 near New Holland Street around 4:15 AM. That was where a northbound SUV left the roadway and rolled over several times. The motorist died at the scene.
It took several hours to clear up the scene and reconstruct the crash for investigators, which is done following all fatal motoring incidents. The name of the motorist wasn’t immediately disclosed, nor the circumstances that led to the crash, as the matter remains under investigation.
