HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — A two-car crash in Georgetown Township sent three people to Spectrum Health Butterworth with non-life-threatening injuries, just after 1:30 on Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2020.
Ottawa County Sheriff’s deputies, Georgetown firefighters, and Life Ambulance EMTs were dispatched to the crash scene, at Chicago Drive and Main Street.
They found an 80-year-old Hudsonville man had been driving west on Chicago Driver but failed to stop for the red light at Main Street. His vehicle hit one driven by a 31-year-old Dorr man’s car that had been headed north through the intersection, on a green light.
The Hudsonville man’s car left the road, hitting a crosswalk sign and the business sign on the intersection’s northwest corner.
The Hudsonville man and one of his passengers, a 75-year-old Hudsonville resident, went by ambulance to Spectrum Butterworth with what police called non-life threatening injuries. The Dorr man went to Saint Mary’s Hospital for treatment of what police called non-life threatening injuries.
