Roger L. Nyland age 87, of Holland, went to his heavenly home on Sunday, March 19, 2023, at an area care center.
He was a member of Trinity Reformed Church of Holland and was a former member of St. Joseph CRC. He was a veteran of the Army and retired from Whirlpool as a Senior Electronic Designer.
Rog was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Jeanette Nyland, son-in-law, Randy Harris, and siblings, Doris Van Tubbergen, Audrey Whipple, and Earl Nyland.
Rog is survived by his wife of 61 years, Eleanor (Van Doornik); children, Karen (Jack) Pallas, Kathy (Mike) Hollacher, and Jeffrey Nyland; 4 grandchildren, Jordan (Annie) Homsy-Harris, Kayla (Josh) Allen, Michael (Chelsie) Hollacher, Katelin (Remi) Salva; 4 great-grandchildren; in-laws, Dorothy Nyland, Ardith Tschanz; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 12 noon Thursday, March 23, 2023, at Trinity Reformed Church, 712 Apple Ave. Holland with Rev. Deb Yurk officiating.
