Jimmy (Jim) Botsford, age 86, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 11, 2023.
Jim was preceded in death by his 11 siblings; his parents; son, David Botsford; grandson, Daniel Botsford; and granddaughter, Jessica Botsford.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn (Carol) Botsford; son, Jeffery (Tammi) Botsford; daughter, Kristine (Tim) Felicioni; his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, Vern (Carla) Sterk; and sister-in-law, Doris Miles (Michael Pajak).
He served his country for eight years in the United States Air Force with two terms in Vietnam. He retired from Leon Plastics as head maintenance electrician.
He and Carol went on twelve cruises and enjoyed them all. He loved fishing, especially with his son David and brother-in-law, Phillip Miles.
He was a member of Faith Reformed Church in Zeeland for over forty years. Although he suffered many setbacks in his life, he did not give up. He loved his family and sacrificed many times to see that they were taken care of. He will be deeply missed but we thank God for the years we had with him.
Funeral services are at Noon on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at Faith Reformed Church, 220 West Central Ave. Zeeland, MI 49464 with Rev. Jonathan Elgersma officiating. Visitation with the family will precede the service and be from 10:00-Noon also at the church.
Burial to take place in Pilgrim Home Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given in Jim’s honor to the Faith Reformed Church Mission Fund or Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
The Botsford family would especially like to thank all the nurses and aides at SKLD Nursing and Holland Hospice who took such loving care of Jim.
