ANTWERP TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Authorities arrested six people on drug charges on Thursday, February 16 following a search of an Antwerp Township home last November.
Deputies with the narcotics unit of the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office were sent to 26th Street near 66th Avenue on November 29 to execute a search warrant after receiving multiple tips about a house being used to sell and use meth.
Upon their search, detectives found multiple people inside and outside the home, including two children under the age of 8, who were removed by child protective services.
According to the sheriff’s office, a report was then sent to the Van Buren County Prosecutor for review.
Arrest warrants were later issued for 31-year-old Tessa Bunch and 31-year-old Eric White of Paw Paw, and 44-year-old Christopher Hewitt, 53-year-old James Williams, 44-year-old Paul Chamness, and 50-year-old Robert Thomas all of Lawton; all arrested for possession of methamphetamine.
