Ruth Bouman, age 83 of Holland, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2023, at Corewell Health Butterworth Hospital.
Ruth was a member of Central Wesleyan Church and former member of Community Reformed Church. She volunteered at Central Wesleyan and sang in the choir in both churches. She was a wonderful mom and grandma whose family was her treasure.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Vance Bouman; daughter, Cara Bouman; son-in-law, Vaughn Koning; brothers, James Wenke, and Thomas Wenke; and in-laws, Pat Wenke, and Don Oetman.
Ruth is survived by her children, Debra (Les) Brink, Brian Bouman (Sarah Dickman), and Brenda Koning; grandchildren, Jeff (Jen) Brink, Lisa (Gary) Newcomer, Sara (Michael) Bos, Timothy (Sarah) Brink, Tiffany (Josh) Sluis, Lindsay (Matt) Vanderheide, Kelsey (Cody) Bos, Ashley Koning; 20 great-grandchildren; in-laws, Jean Wenke, Lynda (John) Kalman, Corlyn Oetman, and Dawn (Randy) Cook.
Visitation is scheduled for 9:30-10:30 am Saturday, February 18, at Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 E 16th St., Holland. A funeral service, with Rev. Lynn Bruce officiating, will follow at 11:00 am, also at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pilgrim Home Cemetery.
