Carole Lynn Engelsman, age 75 of Hamilton, loving wife, mother, grandma, and great grandma passed away Saturday, January 7, 2023.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Jerald; her children: Bruce Engelsman, and Sara and Dave Hall; her grandson Jake Engelsman; her brother Roland and Cindy Grit; her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Alnora Mast, Hildreth Van Dyken, Sharon Engelsman, Janice Loew, Glenn Engelsman, Carol and Jim Timmer, Cindy Engelsman and many nieces and nephews.
Carole was preceded in death by her parents Jack and Grace Grit, her father-in-law, and mother-in-law George and Jennie Engelsman, her brothers-in-law Erwin Mast, Henry Van Dyken, Warren Engelsman, Donald Loew, Allyn Engelsman and her sister-in-law Carol Ann Engelsman.
Carole was active in 4H in her youth; she was voted 4H Queen in Kent County in 1964. She graduated from Byron Center High School and attended Davenport College for one year. Carole worked at FMB as head teller, and in the trust department. Carole and Jerry had a place at Sandy Pines where they had many family gatherings and fish fry.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at Yntema Funeral Home, 251 South State Street, Zeeland. The funeral service will be 11 am, Thursday, January 12, 2023, at Oakland Christian Reformed Church, 4460 38th Street, Hamilton. Interment will be in Bentheim Cemetery.
