EAST LANSING, MI — Michigan State University is now down one trustee as Pat O’Keefe has resigned. It is likely sign of more dissension on the board over the ouster of a business school dean and how the board selected an interim president a month ago after Samuel Stanley resigned.
O’Keefe told the governor’s office and fellow trustees that he “can no longer serve on a board that purports to promote cultural change yet struggles itself to be transparent.”
Governor Whitmer will select his replacement, as O’Keefe was elected to an eight-year term in 2020.
