Ivan loved hunting, trout fishing, and taking frequent trips to the Upper Peninsula. He was happiest sitting in his living room watching the wildlife in his backyard. Another love of Ivan’s was spending time with his family; he had a very gentle spirit and always had a smile for everyone. Ivan was a well-respected homebuilder as well as a lifelong member of First Baptist Church in Zeeland. He loved the Lord and served Him in his own quiet way which was shown by his Godly example.
The DeJonge family would like to thank his special caregivers at Appledorn and Hospice of Holland for the care he received in his last months with us.
A Celebration of Life Service will be at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, November 30 at Lakeshore Memorial Services – 11939 James St. Holland, MI 49423. Pastor Tom VandenBerg will officiate. Refreshments and visitation will follow the service.
