HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Nov. 18, 2022) – The first “snow day” of the season has arrived along the Lakeshore.
Most, if not all, school districts called off classes last night for today as the Winter Storm Warning for Allegan and Ottawa counties continues through tomorrow morning, with up to six inches of snow predicted. Road crews went to work early and prepared, according to Alex Doty of the Ottawa County Road Commission.
Part of that preparation was the American Public Works Association Snowplow Roadeo last month at the Ottawa County Road Commission’s Coopersville maintenance garage.
Another three to six inches of snow is likely tomorrow, according to the National Weather Service office in Grand Rapids.
