HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — A 71-year-old Grandville woman was hospitalized after a two-car crash in Georgetown Township just after 5:45 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 6, 2020, according to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sgt. Nicholas Knott.
Deputies called to the scene learned that an 81-year-old Hudsonville woman, driving a 2009 Lincoln east on 44th Street, went through a the red light. Her car crashed into a 2014 Chevrolet with a 71-year-old Wyoming man at the wheel and a 71-year-old Grandville woman in the passenger seat.
The Chevrolet had been headed north on Eighth Avenue. The Grandville woman went by LIFE EMS to Metro Hospital with what police called non-life-threatening injuries. The Hudsonville woman was ticketed for a red-light violation. The crash remains under investigation; no names were released.
