LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — No one matched all six numbers to win Saturday night’s Powerball jackpot, but one Michigan Lottery player is $1 million richer after the drawing.
The player matched the five white balls drawn Saturday night – 28-45-53-56-69 – to win a $1 million prize. The winning ticket was bought at the K&G Deli, located at 5625 Conner Street in Detroit.
With no jackpot winner in Saturday’s drawing, the Powerball jackpot now stands at $1.9 billion with a cash option of $929 million. The next Powerball drawing will take place Monday night, November 7.
If a lucky player wins the $1.9 billion jackpot, it will be the largest Lottery jackpot ever won. The current world record jackpot is $1.586 billion. That Powerball jackpot was won on Jan. 13, 2016 and was split by three winning tickets purchased in California, Florida, and Tennessee.
The last Michigan player to win a Powerball jackpot was Cristy Davis, of Waterford. Davis won the game’s $70 million jackpot on Feb. 12, 2020.
The Powerball drawing takes place at 10:59 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday and may be watched live online at: http://www.powerball.com. Powerball tickets are sold in 45 states, Washington D.C., U.S. Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico.
