DEKALB, IL (WKZO AM/FM) – Central Michigan University picked up a big road win Wednesday night, while Western Michigan fell short at Bowling Green. The Chippewas moved to 3-and-6 on the season with a 35-22 win at Northern Illinois.
Meanwhile, the Broncos fell 13-9 at Bowling Green to slip to 3-and-6.
Western Michigan scored for the first time with 3:11 left in the third when Corey Crooms caught a short pass over the middle and eluded the Bowling Green safety for a 39-yard touchdown. Crooms finished with eight catches for 151 yards.
