Marian Van Den Brand

Marian Van Den Brand, 93, went to be with her Lord, on September 30th at Riley’s Grove Assisted Living near her home in Zeeland, MI while surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of Marvin Van Den Brand for 52 years before he passed away on June 6, 2005. She was the daughter of the late John & Effie Haggerty and was very creative and passionate about baking, sewing, ceramics, and doting on her family.

Marian is survived by her three children: Sheryl, Terry, and Sandy as well as one daughter-in-law, Sally, and two sons-in-law, Nick and Michael. There are also seven wonderful grandchildren, Nicole & Collin, Stephanie & Stacy, and Daniel, Elise & Michele along with three great-grandchildren, Eli, Evelyn, and Andrew who all remember her with love.

She will be greatly missed. In the words of her children “Loving Wife, Caring Mother, Devoted child of God.” On February 15, 2020, she wrote the following personal note in her bible specifically to her family: “I love each of you and wish the best for you. I know God will be with you and take good care of you. Mom”

Visiting hours at Community Reformed Church in Zeeland are 9:30-10:30 am Monday, October 10, 2022, followed immediately by a Memorial Service with Pastor Trent Walker officiating. Followed by a light snack. Private interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Community Reformed Church benevolent fund, or Riley’s Grove Assisted Living Memory Care Unit. The family would also like to acknowledge and extend their appreciation to the staff of Riley’s Grove and Hospice of Holland.
