Lorraine Nyhoff, age 84, passed away on December 31, 2018.
Lorraine was a loving mom, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved to share her passion for baking and enjoying time together with family. She worked for Hamilton Post Office for 30 years and became its Postmaster for many years prior to retirement. She enjoyed playing the piano and organ, making floral arrangements, and playing golf. She was loved and will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Robert; sister, Florence (Erv) Koops; sister, Ruth (Lester) Kleinheksel; sister-in-law, Joanne Kleinheksel; and sister-in-law, Marilyn Berens.
She is survived by her children, Ronald (Carol) Nyhoff, David (Cindy) Nyhoff; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Holly and Jeff Twiest (Evelyn, Esther, Madison), Sarah and Chad Kraai (Lincoln), Ben and Kristen Nyhoff (Lucas), Brad Nyhoff, Adam Nyhoff; brother-in-law, Jay (Bob) and Shirley Berens; and sister-in-law, Carol and Peter Mike.
Visitation is 4:00-7:00 pm Friday, January 4, 2019 at Yntema Funeral Home, 251 S. State St. Zeeland, MI 49464.
Funeral services are at 11:00 am Saturday, January 5 at Hamilton Reformed Church, 3554 M-40, Hamilton, MI 49419 with Pastor Ron Lugten officiating.
Burial will take place in Riverside Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given in Lorraine’s honor to Hamilton Reformed Church or Hospice of Holland.
