Joyce Elaine Vis, 70, of Holland, MI, passed away on December 30th 2018.
Joyce was born April 18, 1948, in Zeeland, to Richard and Gertrude (Driesenga) Marlink. She graduated from Holland High in 1966. Joyce worked at Russ’ Northtown for 25 years.
Joyce lit up every room she walked into, and was fearless when she was faced with breast cancer twice in her lifetime. She was a supportive, loving, selfless, positive, and all around amazing woman.
Joyce is preceded in death by her brother, Wayne Marlink, and her brother in law, Dennis Jonker.
Joyce is survived by her loving husband, Louis Vis of 50 years. They were married on October 4th 1968 and raised 3 children together in Holland.
Joyce is lovingly remembered by her children, Kelli (Mike) Van Til, Ken (Gina) Vis, and Kathy (Todd) Gross. Her grandchildren, Whitney (Tim) Storey, Logan Van Til, Julia Drabczyk, Austin Gross, Kody Vis, and her great grandchild Kaiden Storey. Her brother, Bill (Fonda) Marlink, her sister, Jean Jonker, her sister in law Peg Marlink and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 pm, Thursday at the Yntema Funeral Home, 251 S. State Street, Zeeland. Funeral service for the Immediate family will take place on Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to TCM Ministries.
