Freddie “Fred” Graveling, age 76, went to be with the Lord in his heavenly home on Saturday, January 26, 2019.
Fred was preceded in death by his wife and mother of his children, Marilyn Graveling; his son-in-law, Roger McLellan; and his 2nd wife, Hildrene Graveling.
Fred was a member of Dutton United Reformed Church. He was a loving dad and provided for his family in many ways. He always had a kind and encouraging word and shared his faith freely and often. He will be remembered as “A friend of ALL” and for having the unique ability for striking up conversation with a stranger and sharing his vast knowledge of the history of our area.
Fred is survived by his children; Lori McLellan, James (Lori) Graveling, Dan (Kathy) Graveling, Jeff (Melissa) Graveling; 17 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Genevieve Gerrits; sister, Hazel Compagner; and sister-in-law, Marilyn Graveling.
Visitation with the family is scheduled for 5:00-7:00 pm on Thursday, January 31 and 12:00 -1:00 pm on Friday, February 1, 2019 at Yntema Funeral Home, 251 S. State. St. Zeeland, MI 49464.
Funeral services are planned for 1:00 pm on Friday, February 1 also at the Yntema Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Johnson officiating.
Memorial contributions may be given in Fred's honor to the Dutton United Reformed Church Benevolence Fund.
Burial to take place in Forest Grove Cemetery.
