Colleen Marie Jarczak, 68, beloved wife and mother, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 18, 2019.
Colleen was born on August 1, 1950, in Erie, Pennsylvania, the only child of Virgil and Dorothy (Moore) Herring. She and her husband Stan were happily married for 44 years. A graduate of The University of Michigan-Dearborn, Colleen was an elementary school teacher before transitioning to homemaker, school volunteer, and caregiver to her ailing mother. Forever putting others before herself, Colleen’s profound love shone through all of her actions, gifts, and gestures. Her radiant smile and boisterous laugh were treasured by all who knew her, and made her the perfect audience for her son’s jokes.
Colleen was preceded in death by her mother Dorothy and father Virgil. She is survived by her husband Stanley, son Steven of Los Angeles, brother-in-law Raymond (Kathleen) Jarczak of Dallas, sister-in-law Mary Jane Jones of Detroit, nephew Christopher (Nora) Jarczak of Chicago, and niece Andrea (Zachary) Moore of Dallas.
In accordance with her wishes, there will be no memorial services.
