Donna was a loving and loved mother. She was a member of Ottawa Reformed Church and was very involved in church activities. Donna was a dedicated worker for Herman Miller for 18 years, for Zeeland Schools as a School Bus Driver for 12 years, and for 8 years as a Nurses Aid. Donna had a passion for crocheting anything and everything as well as teaching others how to. She enjoyed traveling around the world and will be missed dearly by her family and many friends.
Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Ritsema Sr., in 1971; her daughter, Dawn Kosaski, in 2022; and all her siblings.
She is survived by her children: Ronald Ritsema Jr. & good friend Sue Hoezee, Delwyn & Jayne Ritsema, Arlyn & Cindy Ritsema; son-in-law, Scott Kosaski; grandchildren: Jamie Ritsema, Kyle Ritsema, Ryan (Leah) Ritsema, Heidi (Scott) Nagelkirk, Sarah (Darin) Packard, Tyler Kosaski, Dylan (Elyse) Kosaski, Hunter Kosaski; 7 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service honoring Donna will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at Ottawa Reformed Church, 11390 Stanton, West Olive, MI. A time of visitation will be held Tuesday, the evening prior, from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Yntema Funeral Home, 251 S. State Street, Zeeland. Burial will take place in Borculo Cemetery.
