She was preceded in death by her husband, Rodney Van Kampen in 2008. She was a lifelong member of Harderwyk Ministries where she was active in many areas of church life.
Helene is survived by her sons, Mitchell and Stacie, Timothy and Leann; grandchildren, Austin (Calli), Alexander (Brianna), and Hanna, Mackenzie, and Elliott; great-grandchildren, Sam, Travis, Cole, Avery; siblings, Ken and Sandy Vanden Brink, Geneva Vanden Brink, Ed, and Kathy Aardema.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 1, 2022, at Harderwyk Ministries, 1627 West Lakewood Blvd., with Pastors Bill Lindner and Aaron Vander Veen officiating. Burial will be at Lakewood Cemetery prior to the service. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, August 31, at Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 E. 16th St., Holland.
