Thelma (Tammi) Jean Ipema went to be with our lord on Friday March 27, 2020 peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones.
Tammi was a vibrant soul with a huge heart for her family and friends. She loved to be surrounded by her family.
Tammi was an employee at Gentex corporation for 33 years and had made numerous friends there along the way.
Tammi loved to go to the movies, she had many dates with her twin sister Wilma on the weekends. She also was a collector of movies her collection is vast and huge.
Anyone who knew her, knows that she loved Garfield, shopping and the color purple. If there was something purple she’d find it and buy it! But would always find these things on sale.
The thing that she loved more than that were her boys and grandchildren. She loved to spoil them in any way that she could!
Thelma is preceded in death by her parents Betty Jo (Maynard) and William Batey, her husband of 17 years Jeff Ipema, brothers Donald Maynard and Gordon Batey. Survived by her sons David Batey and Michael Heck. Siblings Ronald Maynard, Darla Hite, twin sister Wilma Ruder, Lee Batey and Lila Cowell. Grandchildren Ashley, Nate, Gavin and Isabella. Along with many nieces and nephews.
She will be missed tremendously but we are comforted by the many great memories that we have with her.
