Shirley Weener, age 86 of Zeeland departed her earthly body to be in the presence of her Lord Jesus Christ Wednesday, May 13, 2020.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Norman; her children: Jack Wainer, David and Rachael Weener, Nancy Weener and Ruth and Alan Mirza; 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; sisters: Betty and Gord Martinie and Mary and Jack Wyrick; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Phyllis Schrotenboer, Calvin and Emily Weener, Paul Weener and Mary and Calvin Van Ommen.
Shirley was born on the family farm in Beaverdam. She graduated from Holland Christian High School where she met her husband Norm. Shirley taught elementary school in several school districts. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Zeeland where she also taught Sunday school.
She was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Harold Zylstra.
