ALLENDALE, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Aug. 19, 2022) – Grand Valley State University is in line for some additional federal funding.
The US Department of Education announced on Thursday that the Allendale-based institution for higher education will receive just over 300 thousand dollars as one of 189 schools receiving Ronald McNair Postbaccalaureate Achievement Program grants totalling 51.7 million dollars. The money goes toward projects designed to provide disadvantaged college students effective preparation for doctoral studies.
GVSU is one of six Michigan-based universities getting over 1.6 million dollars, with the Lakers’ share the largest of that group.
