DETROIT, MI (WTVB) – The Detroit Tigers are working out at Comerica Park while they wait to play the Pittsburgh Pirates Friday.
This week’s four-game series with St. Louis was cancelled due to the Cardinals having multiple positive tests for Covid-19.
Yesterday, the Tigers took part in shift drills with the infielders and extra side sessions for pitchers and batting practice for hitters.
The Tigers and Cardinals have limited possibilities to make up their postponed games.
Both teams have common off-days September 3 and September 10. However, St. Louis had a four-game set against the Milwaukee Brewers postponed due to Covid-19 last week.
