Kevin Harvick held off Denny Hamlin for a second straight day to win the Consumers Energy 400 NASCAR Cup race at Michigan International Speedway yesterday. It was a repeat of Saturday’s finish of the Firekeepers Casino 400 in the Irish Hills as Harvick becomes the first driver to win top-flight NASCAR races on consecutive days since Richard Petty during the old Grand National series in 1971.
