MIDDLEVILLE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The Barry County Sheriff’s Office is investing a stabbing incident between a husband and wife in Middleville.
Authorities say it happened around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday evening, July 20, when the victim, a 49-year-old male was allegedly stabbed by his wife.
The husband was transported to an area hospital for treatment, and the 44-year-old subject, and wife of the victim was arrested and lodged at the Barry County Jail where she is awaiting arraignment.
Police say that this was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public.
Assisting agencies include the Michigan State Police, Barry County Central Dispatch, and Mercy EMS.
