ALLEGAN TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Three people were injured, two critically following a crash between a passenger car and semi tractor-trailer in Allegan County on Friday, July 15.
According to the Allegan County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened around 1:20 p.m. on Babylon Road and 34th Street in Allegan Township.
Investigation showed that a passenger car, driven by a 24-year-old Plainwell man, failed to yield at a two-way stop to a semi tractor-trailer with the right of way, driven by a 54-year-old male from Martin.
Both drivers and a 10-year-old female from the passenger car were taken to hospitals where both occupants from the passenger car were listed in critical condition. The semi tractor-trailer driver suffered non-life threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
The Allegan County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Allegan Fire Department, Hopkins Township Fire Department, and Life EMS.
