LAWTON, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A wanted fugitive was arrested in Van Buren County on Wednesday, July 13.
The Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office confirmed on Thursday, July 14, the arrest of Marc Kurtis St Clair who was wanted on fraud charges and for violating probation.
The arrest was carried out when the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office Uniform Response Division and Lawton Police Department executed a search warrant at the residence of St Clair in the 200 block of North West Street in Lawton.
Deputies and officers had to force their way into the residence after knocking on the door and not getting an answer. Once inside, St Clair started yelling at the officers to “shoot him” and would not comply.
St Clair was then subdued by a Taser and taken into custody without incident. He was transported to the Van Buren County Jail where a small amount of Methamphetamine was found on his person.
St Clair was charged with Resisting and Obstructing an officer and Possession of Methamphetamine.
