Jose Abreu’s two-run double capped a four-run fourth inning for the White Sox, and Matt Davidson added a two-run homer later on, as Chicago triumphed over the Minnesota Twins in Minneapolis last night, 8-5. It was a contest made up from a rain out at Target Field earlier this season. The two teams now head to Guaranteed Rate Field this evening for the start of a scheduled two-game series on the South Side.

Elvin Rodriguez and two relievers combined on a six-hitter, striking out 13 in the process, as the Whitecaps salvaged the series finale in suburban Cleveland from the Lake County Captains with a 3-1 decision at Classic Park in Eastlake last night. West Michigan returns home this evening to open up a three-game series with the Dayton Dragons at Fifth Third Ballpark.
