UNDATED (WHTC) – Only Calvary Schools of Holland has Friday night off as the other nine high schools in the Lakeshore area send their basketball teams out for girls/boys or boys/girls doubleheaders this evening.
At the Holland Civic Center, Holland Christian entertains Zeeland West. Greg Chandler has coverage of the boys’ game, beginning at 5:40 PM, on 1450 WHTC. Other twin-bills includes Unity Christian at Holland, East Kentwood at West Ottawa, Zeeland East at Byron Center, Comstock Park at Hamilton, Saugatuck at Gobles, Hartford at Fennville and Black River at Wellspring Prep.

Grand Valley State swept a basketball doubleheader from the visiting Wayne State Warriors in Allendale last night. Kayla Dawson scored 17 points as the GVSU women took the opener, 66-37, before the men captured the nightcap, 63-56, behind 21 points from Luke Ryskamp. The Lakers welcome the Saginaw Valley State Cardinals to the FIeldhouse Arena for another twin-bill tomorrow afternoon.
In state major-college basketball this evening, Eastern Michigan’s Hurons face the Zips in Akron.
