Esther was a member of Providence Christian Reformed Church and a former member and secretary at Maplewood Reformed Church. She loved sewing and gardening. Esther especially loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Esther was preceded in death by her husband, Harold A. Bakker in 1981; her brother, Jason Haveman; and in-laws, Helen Haveman, Cal Rozeboom, Marvin Bakker, Jim, and Hattie Bakker, Mike and Alice Bakker, and Gradus and Auriel Aalberts.

Visitation is scheduled for 10:00-11:00 am Friday, July 15, 2022, at Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 E 16th St. Holland. A private family service will follow. Burial will be in Pilgrim Home Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Kindred Hospice, and Providence Church. The family would like to thank the wonderful caregivers at Appledorn Assisted Living who took such good care of Esther for the past six years. Kindred Hospice was also so helpful during the last 6 months. They would also like to thank all those who remembered Esther through cards and visits.
