She is survived by her children: Marcia Diekema, Pat Kraai, and Rod Diekema; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Jennifer and Jared Altermatt (Ainsley, Rayne, and Declan), Megan and John Snowa (Collin), Katie and Mark VanLente (Tanner, Nolan, Bryce, and Leah), Dani Kraai, Haylee Diekema, and Zoey Diekema; her brother-in-law Tony and Jeane Diekema.
Bert was preceded in death by her husband Bernard in 1982. She was a member of First Christian Reformed Church in Zeeland for many years. Bert worked at Huizenga’s Stop and Shop and later Zeeland Vision where she worked until she was 80 years old.
Visitation will be 4-6 pm Friday, July 15, 2022, at Yntema Funeral Home, 251 South State, Zeeland. The funeral service will be 10 am Saturday, July 16, 2022, at Second Reformed Church, 225 East Central Avenue, Zeeland. Interment will be in Zeeland Cemetery.
