DETROIT. MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The New Knicks are trading away a pair of players to create some salary cap space, and the Pistons are benefitting.
ESPN reports New York is sending center Nerlens Noel and guard Alec Burks to Detroit. The Knicks also included a 2023 second-round pick, a 2024 second-round pick and $6 million in cash in the deal with Detroit.
The move opens up $19 million in salary cap space for New York as it plans to pursue guard Jalen Brunson at the start of NBA free agency.
