HUDSONVILLE, MI (WHTC) – On a 40-8 vote, principals of the Ottawa Kent Conference approved divisional realignment that begins in the fall of 2016. Zeeland East rejoins the Green, which will keep Zeeland West, Holland Christian, Holland High, Hamilton, Unity Christian and Byron Center. West Ottawa, Grand Haven, Hudsonville, Rockford and East Kentwood stay in the Red, with Jenison rejoining that loop, and Caledonia coming on board. Elsewhere along the Lakeshore, Coopersville, Allendale and Spring Lake are together in the Blue, while Hopkins stays in the Silver and Wayland remains in the Gold.
