HOLLAND, MI (WHTC AM/FM) – Children are encouraged to play with their food at the Holland Farmers Market Kids Activities this Wednesday
The Kids Activities are free to attend and begin with Market Story Time hosted by the Herrick District Library, followed by a fun, educational, and hands-on activity led by a local community partner. The Kids Activities are proudly sponsored by the Holland Farmers Market’s Community Outreach Partner AlignWell Chiropractic.
Each Wednesday through August 17, families are invited to Market Story Time at the Holland Farmers Market with the Herrick District Library beginning at 9:30 a.m., followed by a drop-in activity led by a local non-profit organization or business from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.
This Wednesday, the staff from Child Development Services (CDS) Lakeshore Head Start will be there to guide children in making stamps using fresh fruits and vegetables. Each child will have the opportunity to use their stamps to make a picture to take home.
CDS Lakeshore Head Start has provided affordable early childhood education programs for families living in Ottawa county since 1966. Lakeshore Head Start provides a safe, caring environment for children in a group learning setting with a curriculum that focuses on the whole child in the areas of health, nutrition, science and social skills. On a typical day, children are offered circle time, language activities, free play and small group activities and occasional field trips.
