HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Twin Lakes resident Quentin Parker Jr., 30, is the name of the man killed in a three-vehicle crash involving a cement truck early Friday, Jan. 24, 2020.
The crash happen on Port Sheldon Road at 104th Avenue, in Olive Township, according to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sgt. Mike VanDenBosch.
Police found a Parker was driving north on 104th in a white Honda, and did stop for the stop sign at Port Sheldon.
The second vehicle, a cement truck that was not loaded, has been eastbound on Port Sheldon, and did not have a stop sign, and couldn’t avoid the Honda when it drove into the truck’s path, hitting the Honda’s driver-side door.
The force of the crash sent both vehicles into the driver’s side of a tan Chevy passenger car, with a 23-year-old Hudsonville woman at the wheel.
The other driver, and the 33-year-old Holland man driving the cement truck, had been wearing seatbelts and were not injured. The crash remains under investigation, but Friday afternoon VanDenBosch said investigators have eliminated excessive speed, alcohol, and drugs as factors in this crash.
