HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – Two women were hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash on Saturday afternoon at one of the Holland area’s more dangerous intersections.
No names were disclosed by Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Christopher Dill, who was one of the first responders dispatched to the junction of Business 196 and 112th Avenue just before 3 PM. A 49-year-old Zeeland woman, driving her car westbound, attempted to turn left when her vehicle was slammed by an eastbound automobile, driven by a 52-year-old Holland woman.
The older woman was taken to Holland Hospital for treatment of a leg fracture, while the younger woman went to Spectrum-Zeeland Community Hospital to attend to abdominal pan; a 19-year-old who was a passenger in the westbound vehicle was not hurt.
The investigation into the crash continues, and Dill is asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact Central Dispatch (800-249-0911) or Silent Observer.
