HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Mike Wolters’ day at Graafschap Hardware started extra early Monday, March 16, 2020.
“We had some “visitors” last night around 3:30,” he wrote on a Facebook post, sharing two survaillance images of a thief who broke the glass front door and took a muzzleloader he described as a Thompson Center TC Strike, 50 Caliber Blackpowder and an old Marlin Model 81 22LR Bolt action rifle.
But the act of stealing the guns destroyed their mechanisms, Wolters said.
He’s hoping Allegan County Sheriff’s deputies catch thieves as quickly as happened after a 2018 break-in. The three suspects in that case were sentenced last July.
