HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Holland Hospital officials say the West Olive woman who contracted COVID-19 and was hospitalized was been released on Monday, March 16, 2020.
The woman’s identity has not been made public, but Ottawa County public health officials say they have, so far, identified 50 people she’d been in close contact with (six feet or closer). It’s unclear how she may have been exposed, they said.
We have implemented strict visitor restrictions and screenings at all hospital entrances: ANY individuals (including employees) who come to the hospital or any offsite location will be screened for respiratory illness BEFORE entering the facility. Appropriate precautions will be taken for those needing treatment, and those that do not need treatment will not be permitted entry.
