HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Most pastors of Christian churches in the greater Holland area are finding new ways to celebrate the Easter season, from a healthful distance.
The Rev. Benito (Ben) Aguilera III, lead pastor at Holland’s BLVD church, says this year provides opportunity as well.
He said in a time of uncertainly, poople can still worship together on Sunday morning — even if they’re not in the same room.
Central Wesleyan is one of Holland’s largest churches and the lead pastor, the Rev. Craig Rees notes his church is used to worshiping and even giving online and remotely.
He said churches without that kind of experience may find the transition at this time to be “very, very challenging.”
In addition to worshipping, he says they have been working with other community groups on food distribution to children.
