HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – Lakeshore school districts are bringing out their remote learning programs in the wake of the end of “in-person” learning in Michigan for the rest of Academic 2020.
Holland Public Schools are hoping to enact its Remote Learning Plan on Monday in what district officials say gives students, “the opportunity to engage in virtual instruction developed by grade-level and department teams. The purpose and goal of this work is to provide instruction and tasks that will maintain learning and prepare students for learning for when we return to school. Content will be updated on a weekly basis.”
In the district’s weekly paid interview segment on WHTC, Holland Superintendent Brian Davis praised the effort of teachers and staff in rolling this program out. “I do appreciate all the work that has been put into this plan thus far,” he said, “and the response of our teachers – their caring, their compassion, and their commitment to do what is right by our kids in Holland Public Schools.”
Parents and guardians can pick up a paper-bag grocery sack for each of their children, with learning materials from each child’s teacher for this program, tomorrow from 10 AM to 6 PM at the Holland district’s four elementary schools of Heights, HLA, Jefferson and West.)
