HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — A 21-year-old Hastings woman went by ambulance to Spectrum Health Butterworth in Grand Rapids after a crash in Tallmadge Township, just before 4:45 p.m. Tuesday, April 28, 2020.
A 25-year-old Wyoming man suffered minor injuries in the same incident, according to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sgt. Christie Wendt. He was treated at the scene and released.
It happened near the intersection of Fennessy Drive, just west of Second Avenue, when one motorcyclist, traveling with a group of motorcyclists, slowed down while westbound on Fennessy.
The Wyoming man slowed to turn around and help, but the woman also looked back at the third motorcyclist and didn’t see the Wyoming man turning. Her motorcycle collided with his.
She had non-life-threatening injuries, Sgt. Wendt said. Both people involved in the crash were wearing helmets, she said.
