HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Ottawa County Sheriff’s detectives are investigating an armed home invasion that occurred early Sunday, May 3, 2020.
Sheriff’s Capt. Jake Sparks indicated police were called just before 2:45 a.m. to a home on the 700 block of Lillian Street in Park Township.
The 46-year-old woman who called police told them three men forced their way into her home. One had a handgun, she told police, and they restrained her and searched her home. She was able to get away, going to a friend’s home to call 911.
The men were gone when deputies arrived, and the K-9 did not locate any of them. The only description the woman was able to give police is that they appeared to be three black men in their late teens or early twenties.
The women was unhurt during the incident. Sparks said it’s unclear if anything was taken from the home. Anyone with information is asked to call the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office or Silent Observer at 1-877-88-SILENT. Tips can also be submitted online at: mosotips.com
