HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — A 24-year-old Kalamazoo man went to Ottawa County Jail after a road-rage incident in Zeeland Township just after 5 p.m. Wednesday May 13, 2020.
Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sgt. J. Douglas said police got several calls about a man brandishing a handgun from a vehicle near Business I-196 near 96th Avenue. Callers were able to describe the vehicle and direction of travel.
Police found the vehicle and made a high-risk traffic stop near the intersection of Lakewood Boulevard and 120th Avenue in Holland Township.
Police said they found a handgun in the suspect’s vehicle and arrested the man, who faces assault and weapons charges.
This incident remains under investigation. The man’s name is being withheld pending arraignment.
