HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Holland Township resident David Malcomb McCoy, 31, is facing a two-county warrant after the stabbing death of his mother-in-law, Holland resident Michelle Speck, 52.
Ottawa County Sheriff’s Capt. Mark Bennett listed the counts as open murder and being a third-time habitual offender.
McCoy remains in the St. Joseph’s County Jail in Indiana without bond.
Bennett said in an email to media extradition proceedings are underway and further court appearances are pending.
Speck was found stabbed at the StayBridge Suites, 12170 James St., in Holland Township in the early hours of May 14, 2020
